About World Scholar Foundation
The World Scholar Foundation was established by
the World Scholar Magazine to help foreign students who are
experiencing particular financial difficulty.
The funds raised by the foundation are an
additional source of financial support provided by the contributions of
former and current foreign students and the cooperate community to help
meet the living costs of students who are experiencing financial
hardship. The available funds are limited and are designed to provide
supplementary support to students in financial difficulties. They are
not sufficient nor intended to be a student's primary source of income.
These funds are for foreign students who are in
financial difficulties which could not have been foreseen at the start
of their studies and who cannot fund themselves from any other source.
As a result, it is expected that students who apply to the World
Scholar Foundation will have already exhausted all other possible
sources, such as the banks, family and scholarship program if available
to them.
Foreign students may apply to the World Scholar
Foundation at any point during the academic year and must demonstrate
that their financial circumstances have materially worsened if applying
again within the same academic session
