Founder's Message:
I believe in the power of the World Scholar
Foundation
Hundreds of international students from all
around the globe each year pack their bags, leave their families, and
head to the United States in search of a solid education.
Sadly, international students do not qualify for
U.S. government financial aid and loans. For those who cannot afford
the cost of their education, very few colleges and universities provide
partial or 100 percent of their financial aid dollars. Yet only a
modest amount is available for scholarships for entering international
students.
Even those students who, in the initial stages of
their academic career are able to pay their tuition fees run into
financial hardship. That could be discouraging for any one who in
pursuit of their dreams.
It is with the foregoing in mind that the World
Scholar Magazine has established the World Scholar Foundation to assist
you in making the contribution you have been yearning to make. We want
you to help you make a difference in the life of our struggling
colleagues for they will one day make a contribution towards the
development of our inner cities and ultimately their home country.
This newly founded non-profit organization now
seeks contributions from all sections of the general public with all
contributions to be used to provide assistance to financially stranded
foreign students pursuing studies in the United States.
You have our solemn promise that your donation,
however great or small, will be used to ensure that a determined young
man or woman gets a solid education. We believe your investment will
help them to survive in this dog-eat-dog world. In addition, we are
optimistic that your help will invigorate their commitment to return to
their homeland and make an unselfish contribution to country's overall
development.
Let us all remind ourselves, as we set up this
initiative that will undoubtedly make a huge difference in the lives of
our children, that the future of our world depends upon its young
people. Surely we have an obligation to help them to surmount the many
obstacles that stand between them and their attaining of a college
degree, and the subsequent fulfilling of their dreams.
Again, rest assured that your support of The
World Scholar Foundation is greatly appreciated, and that every dollars
of it will go toward improving the lives of an international student
studying in the United States and bringing their wisdom and enthusiasm
and communal spirit home with them.
Thank you for your kind consideration and
support!
Sincerely,
Jeremiah Hyacinth
